What is your photography style?

My approach to wedding photography is both photojournalistic and traditional. Whether you are having a beach wedding or resort wedding. My goal is to capture your wedding day as it happens naturally with a photojournalistic approach along with classic and beautiful environmental portraits.

What photography packages do you offer?

I have several different packages and they differ in the length of coverage, amount of prints and type of album included. The actual photos taken is unlimited and not based solely on the package selected, You can choose your package based on coverage needed or go ala Carte and we can custom design your package based on your budget and needs. On an average I take 500 to 800 images, I like to have a variety of images for you to choose from when designing your wedding album. We capture the details of your wedding from the bride getting ready to family and group photos. During the ceremony I take an overview of the wedding, along with all the expected ceremony shots, and most of all we focus on getting romantic and beautiful environmental portraits of the bride and groom.

Do you work with other wedding coordinators?

I work with several different wedding coordinators and can also work directly with a coordinator of your choice. I can work with their packages and offer a full credit towards any album upgrades you may choose.

How do we book you for our wedding?

After we determine availability for your date, I will hold the date for up to two weeks while you finalize your plans. Then I require a retainer fee to reserve the date, with the remainder due by the wedding date.

How do we see our proofs?

If possible I like to meet a day or two after the wedding for about 45 minutes to review photos and choices for album styles and design. All images will be recorded to a CD for your home viewing.

Can our wedding be posted on the Internet?

Many times not all of the friends and family can be present for a wedding on Maui. To enable you to share this event with them in a timely manner, we can put your photos online at no charge based on your wedding package.

What camera equipment do you use?

I shoot with a Nikon D3 Pro digital camera, which can make prints as large as 30x40. With digital I have the flexibility of ultra fast zoom lenses to capture the photo journalistic style photos.

Can we purchase the digital files?

I normally make the negatives or digital files available for sale one year after your wedding album has been completed. I am flexible and will work with you based on your photography package.

Are digital photographs as good as those made from film?

Digital technology has come a long way over the last few years and a majority of professional wedding photographers are using this medium. First of all the quality is outstanding and you are able to shoot portraits and photojournalism with the same camera. You have the option of B&W or color with all of your images and touchup is included with all of your prints. Albums companies such as Zookbinder and LeatherCraftsmen now offer digital albums with many options for creative album design.

The largest prints I have done are 30x40 and the quality is outstanding. All my photos are printed at professional photo labs on the mainland. They use the same printers for both film and digital, these are archival prints that will last a lifetime.
