Maui Family Portraits
Thank you for your interest in having a family portrait while vacationing in Maui, Hawaii. Maui has many beautiful locations to choose from. The resort or condominium that you are staying at may be the perfect location.
What time of day is the best for your family portrait?
Early morning and sunset are the best times for portrait photography; each has its own unique characteristics, Bright greens and blues in the morning and warm and softer light at sunset. Please check for availability and rates for morning & sunset.
What kind of equipment do you shoot with?
I use the newest Nikon D3 Professional Digital SLR camera and only the best Nikon lenses. Photographing children has never been easier with fast lenses and large memory cards. I take an average of 500 images. I can print up to 30x40 prints with excellent image quality. Photo retouching is included with all print orders.
How many photos are taken?
Depending on the size of the family or group, I take several combinations from large group photos to individual photos, with 2 to 3 backgrounds, approx. 300-500 images are taken for a single family.
When will the proofs be ready?
You will receive a photo CD usually by the same time next day. If not possible to meet with you I will mail it out to you within the week.
Family portrait prices:
Sitting fees varies depending on time of day and location. There is also a minimum order required upon booking. Lahaina to Kapalua have an additional $50 travel surcharge. Morning and sunset pricing is the same as the morning light it much more difficult to work with and takes more effort to get quality portraits. If you are interested in purchasing all of the images in Hi resolution format please add $375 to the session fee with no minimum print order required, but will still like to retain you as a client for any of your printing needs at a 15% discount to my regular pricing.
Morning Photo Session (7AM to 8AM):
Session fee is $125.00 with less than 8 people in the group with a minimum print order of $250.00
Multiple families with more than 8 people will be $150.00 with a minimum print order of $350.00
Sunset Photo Session:
Session fee is $125.00 with less than 8 people in the group with a minimum print order of $250.00
Multiple families with more than 8 people will be $150.00 with a minimum print order of $350.00
Terms and Conditions:
- A Retainer Fee (non refundable) of $125 is required to reserve the Portrait Date and to guarantee the contracted price; balance is due on or before the day of the session. The contracted price is guaranteed up to three months after the photo session. Prices are subject to change without notice.
- The studio reserves the right to use any and all images for the purposes of display, advertising, editorial, promotion, or print competition. Digital files and previews remain the exclusive property of this studio.
