The next great chapter of my life leads me back to family in the Austin, Texas area. After 28 years on Maui and raising a family and running a successful photography business. My daughter graduated Baldwin HS with honors and was also starting center for the girls water polo team which finished 3rd in the State, the highest showing for any Maui school. Isabella is a sophmore at SeattleU eventually pursuing a medical career as a ER doctor. Moving to Austin also gives my son Jonathan a much better opportunity in one of the top high schools in Texas, Vandegrift HS is rated 245 in the nation, Jonathan is in the 11th grade and competing in varsity wrestling.
Next to my kids, my other passion in life is to be able to spend more time volunteering in humanitarian work in some of the poorest villages Asia. I have completed both Disaster Relief and (TCD) Transformation Community Development courses for the necessary training to be able to help people in a disaster crisis or help them to get out of poverty and into sustainability.
I have made two trips in the past 3 years and these photos are from my first trip to Kolkata-India, Dhaka-Bangladesh and Katmandu-Nepal to assist Global Hope Network Intl. in their ongoing work of TCD Transformation Community Development. They work with some of the poorest villages in SE Asia where no other NGOs are at. They work with the village leadership in finding their greatest needs and how they can come along side of them to help them out of poverty and into a thriving community with less disease and sickness. They also help the women with income generation to help in the prevention of human trafficking.
